Harvest Table Teams Up to Support Local Students with Meals and School Supplies

Winston-Salem, NC — August 1, 2025

Earlier this month, Harvest Table employees joined forces with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and the SPARK organization to bring back-to-school support directly to families in need. The collaborative effort focused on providing essential school supplies and meals to students in a local mobile home community.

Volunteers from Harvest Table loaded up a bus and van, bringing with them not only supplies but also a strong sense of community spirit. As they walked through the neighborhood, families came out to greet the team, and students of all ages were invited to board the bus to select a brand-new backpack filled with school supplies.

Once students were school-ready, they and their families received a complimentary boxed lunch prepared by Harvest Table, along with a voucher for a free Icee from a local partner (name to be announced). In total, the team provided 250 backpacks and 150 boxed lunches to be distributed.

Harvest Table employees were proud to participate, demonstrating their commitment to supporting students and families in the community. The event was a heartwarming reminder of the power of partnership and the impact of showing up for one another.
